11 months!

She went from not really "digging" getting her picture made...

It's the pre-birthday month....oh my!  I can't believe my baby is 11 months old....going on about 4 years some days!  She is such a HOT MESS as her Pooka would say. :)
...to getting really ticked that I was making her sit there for at least 500 pictures in the same pose.

Depending on the weather...we're wearing 12 OR 18 month clothes.  That means....if it's cold we wear our winter 12 month stuff and if it's warm we wear our new spring 18 month stuff.  Works pretty good!  She's actually slimmed up quite a bit, it seems, over the past couple of months.  I'm pretty sure she was chunkier at Christmas than she is now.  It must be the speed deamon crawl she's got going on....maybe I should start crawling to drop a few pounds?!?!  We bought new spring shoes last week and she measured at a little over a 3 so...we bought a 4. ha!  She'll grow into them!!  And she's still in a size 3 diaper.

But this made all the difference in the world...Mamas new iphone!
Not much has changed on the food end.  She's still eating cereal/fruit in the mornings and veggie or meat/fruit at lunch and at supper...with a whole lotta table food in between!  She'll still eat just about anything we give her...bread being her favorite!  Not pieces, now...she like the whole piece so she can spend some time gnawing at it!  Bless her heart...she's developed a sweet tooth like her Mama and Daddy too...chocolate shakes have become one of her favorites!  She literally will not give the cup back once she starts sucking!  :)

We're still pretty stuck on the same vocabulary, too.  She's added "hey" or "hi" but that's about it.  And still no Daddy! :(  She just calls him Mama.  lol!  We're pretty sure she's capable of saying Daddy but just thinks it's funny to watch us beg!?!?!  I can't remember if she was blowing kisses last month or not?  She'll put her hand over her mouth and leave it...she forgets to send them your way, so we're still workin on it.  She also will touch her nose (if she feels like it) when we ask her where her nose is...another Grandad trick.

Sydney is sooooooooo full of energy and a handful to keep up with.  If you've been around her for 5 minutes or more lately, you already know this!  She's crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling up to ANYTHING, opening EVERYTHING, and digging through ANYTHING!  And she's just getting started....wow!

She's still turning heads everywhere we go with people commenting on how friendly and happy she is.  Talk about making a Mama and Daddy smile from ear to ear!  We love it when she's sweet to everyone around...we sure hope she stays that way!  It sure makes her a whole lot of fun to be around.

She's really started enjoying and learning how to play with some of her "older" toys that we've had laying around for a few months.  Rather than picking them up and throwing them back down she's figuring them out and learning!  She and Daddy really work hard at mastering her toys at night! Her favorite is still her learning table...she gets to stand up and play with it!  She loves it so much that she gave Cecilia one for her 1st Birthday.

Yes, yesterday was Cecilia's 1st Birthday (snif, snif).  I can hardly believe it...I remember her BIRTHday just like it was yesterday.  So......we celebrated with a big ole party for her!  I'll do a separate post on that!  We'e had some other big events this month, too!  Sydney attended her first Konow Farms cattle sale which was a huge day, and we also celebrated Granny K's birthday with the family at Oasis this month.

Sydney...not a day goes by (or hardly an hour for that matter) that you don't make us SMILE so big or LAUGH out loud!  You are a hoot...but you know that already!!!  You make each day FABULOUS for us and we LOVE you just for being YOU!  We love you to the moon and back!!!
Love Always,
Daddy and Mama

Pre-game!

Grandad and Sydney listened to the CATS pre-game show together this morning (3.19.11).  Grandad WAS listening to it while he washed the vans until Sydney spotted him and didn't want to leave his sight.  Grandad is cheering here and Sydney is just seriously trying to concentrate on keeping Grandad's headphones on.

Finally she got the hang of it and figured out how to move her head, laugh, AND keep them on at the same time!

This child is so in love with her Grandad!  We make fun of him for wearing his headphones to listen to the games (no matter where he is) but Sydney sure doesn't care...she's good with being JUST like him!

Kiss Us...

...cause we're IRISH CUTE!

The Cousins decked out in their green outfits for St. Pattys Day!(3.17.11)  We met up at Jazzercise this morning and had to get them together in their green.

It's a BEAUTIFUL day today so Sydney and I are headed out to BG soon to run some errands and enjoy the day!  Happy St. Patricks Day!

Rain, Rain, go away...

So, what's a little girl to do on a cold, rainy Monday???

Laugh at Daddy and kiss him bye-bye after lunch, throw on a rain hat, and head for the mall!  Or at least that's what we did yesterday! :)  We met Grandma at Gymboree to pick out some new Summer clothes for Sydney and Jackson....THANKS GRANDMA!!!  Then Sydney and I hit up Toys R Us to browse for Birthday ideas!  We brought a whole list back to Daddy of things SHE'S JUST GOT TO HAVE!  ha!

SALE DAY

This past Saturday, Konow Farms has their Annual Cattle Production Sale and this year we added a new little farm girl to the sale day helpers...

Thank goodness for her precious cousins (Katelyn, Caleb and Jake) for loving her bunches and being willing to take care of her while I registered people and clerked the sale...

It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day so when she got tired of playing inside, they strolled her outside and in the shed.

Until nap time.  She has never napped with this much going on IN HER LIFE.  She must have been pooped!

And after her nap, she was back up and ready to roll again!  Grandma and Aunt Nat picked her up right before the sale started. (thanks you all!!!)
She had enough farmin' for one day!

Recap

We've had a busy week but nothing particularly special going on so I thought I would just show off a few pictures I've taken throughout the week.

We visited Aunt Nat and Jackson on Monday and so did our former interim Pastor and his wife...Brother David and Carolyn Dean.  We just love them.  They are so dear to our family.  They checked out Jackson while Sydney watched from the sidelines...

Daddy and Sydney played Wednesday night while I went to choir practice.  I was almost late because I was taking pictures of the two of them.  She just loves it when her Daddy gets down in the floor and plays with her and she has totally mastered this toy!  She pops the balls in the hole as fast as her Daddy can get them ready!

Here she is early Thursday morning before Jazzercise with Mama...she was feeling kinda froggy!!

And this was last night....PIZZA NIGHT!  She loves Pizza with a Cheerio every now and then to break things up.  We ended up just letting her gnaw on the crust and I think she liked it better than the pizza part.

It's been a busy week and today is no exception....it's (cattle) SALE DAY at the farm (3.12.11).  I'll post pics soon...you'll love her outfit!!!  :)

and we're UP

Sydney had finally decided that she's gonna use her hands and knees (rather than her belly) to get around.  She started crawling "normally" right around the first of March.  Not exactly sure on the date...oops!

She has TONS of toys in the living room floor that she loves playing with...as long as we're playing with her, but when I'm in the kitchen she usually ventures over to my area and almost always tries to get in her diaper bag or my purse.
Sometimes I even give in and let her drag stuff out. :)

This particular day it was HILLARIOUS.  She found 3 paci's in her diaper bag and had the BEST time switching from one to the other.  It was like she was trying them out.  I sooo needed the video camera!

SPRING BLOOMS

I got a SWEET surprise tonight....

Sydney and Daddy came in tonight with a cup full of freshly picked buttercups!  Daddy said they were "from Sydney" but I know he's a man after my own heart.  :)  This to me is a sure sign of Spring, even though I'm sure it's just a big tease.  I'm thinking he told me from the looks of the Farmers Almanac our biggest snow is yet to come!!  Ugh!

Speaking of signs of Spring...as soon as I see one I'm ready to break out these bad boys!  I started the day out in tennies but changed to the old faithful flip flops for the afternoon!

Funny thing about the flowers....I actually bought some for myself today at Walmart while I was there. ha!  They have tulips there during February and March and I absolutely love them...so I treated myself to two bunches.  Needless to say, our house is in FULL BLOOM tonight.

And here's my favorite little flower of all...in her PJ's early tonight!
